SOFT MATTE
After a few years of dewy makeup, @courtneyhartmakeup is predicting a return to soft matte makeup looks. Courtney thinks that because we’ve seen the trend of natural and more glow makeup looks, we’ll see a turn back to more powdered and matte makeup looks.
I’m really curious about if this trend will actually stick in 2023. I personally LOVE beautiful matte makeup looks. One of my favorite ways to achieve a more matte makeup look is by adding pressed powder all over my face and loose setting powder under my eyes and in my t-zones.

Cherry Lip
The Cherry Lip trend is all about creating a naturally red and supple look. You can achieve this look by taking your favorite red lipstick and applying a small amount in center of your lips, blending it out with a brush, and applying gloss right on top.
I love the way the cherry lip looks and I find it to be really fun way to try out a new makeup technique.

I remember having the edible lip balms as a kid and I think it would be really cute and nostalgic to have edible beauty products in 2023.

I am such a huge fan of glitter in makeup and I remember absolutely THRIVING during the highlighter everywhere beauty phase.
Even though glitter is predicted to be everywhere, I personally think we’re in a blush phase now, but I’d be really excited to see more glitter makeup looks this year.
