Rating Fall 2022 Makeup Trends

Now, I am not a trend setter, or a trend follower for that matter! But, I do love to learn about what’s going on in the makeup and beauty world! This week’s blog post is all about ranking fall 2022 makeup trends. Now, I’ve never been the girl to come up with the trends, but I can definitely rate them. Sometimes it’s fun to be aware of trends and decide which one’s I’ll participate in!

1. Natural makeup
This one definitely gets a 4.5 out of 5 stars for me. I’ve been loving the evolution of the clean girl aesthetic into a more natural and wearable everyday makeup routine. It’s absolutely gorgeous and I’m excited to see more of it this summer. I’m also slightly skeptical about how many people will adhere to this, given that in colder months people tend to wear heavier makeup.
2. bright neon liner
This one is definitely a hit or miss for me. I’ll give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. I’ve definitely seen this done in a beautiful way, but I’ve also seen this look like hot mess city. I also love the way this looks on camera, but it doesn’t feel very wearable and like the everyday person would feel comfortable walking outside of their house in bright neon liner.
3. sleeked and snatched
I definitely agree with this one, 5 out of 5 stars for me. This trend is what happens when the clean girl aesthetic and siren eyes make babies. I think there’s a way to do this look in a more editorial style and a more wearable everyday way.
4. burnt blush
I am IN LOVE with this trend. I definitely think people are going to get more into a deeper orange hue blush. This is a beautiful expansion of the overly blushed look we saw all summer. 5 out of 5 stars!
5. black lipstick
So I don’t hate this at all. I kind of think it might be a look, but absolutely don’t hold me to it if it isn’t. I could definitely see a gorgeous matte black makeup look, especially at halloween. I’m gonna give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
